From the Maldives to Malaysia - Brewing Excellence Since 2014


Founded in 2014 in the Maldives, Coffee Lab Trading opened its first outlet “Family Room Coffee” in Hulhumale’ with a simple vision, to redefine the local coffee culture. We introduced the concept of a “Third Space Café”—a welcoming environment that bridges home and work—and brought Specialty Coffee to the forefront of the Maldivian experiencefor the first time.

Our dedication to quality and innovation earned us the distinction of being the first company in the Maldives to have an SCA-certified instructor and an SCA-certified Q Grader for coffee roasting. This allowed us not only to perfect our craft but also to provide industry-leading training and internationally recognised certifications and diplomas to our staff. 

Over the past decade, we have expanded to three outlets and established a dedicated coffee roastery in the Maldives, ensuring that every cup we serve meets the highest standards of excellence.


Taking the Next Step - Expanding to Malaysia


Building on our success, we are excited to expand internationally with our first outlet in Malaysia, located at The Campus in Ampang. Our mission remains unchanged: to create an exceptional Third Space Café experience that blends community, comfort, and quality coffee—all at a convenient price.


We are committed to elevating the coffee culture in Malaysia by sharing our expertise and passion. Through SCA-certified training programs led by our in-house certified trainer, we aim to empower our staff and the broader community. From barista certifications to advanced coffee roasting diplomas, we will continue to nurture talent and drive excellence in every cup.
