Oversee all aspects of a big center kitchen and a team of chefs to serves at least 6000 pax per meal. You have extensive knowledge and expertise in overall food & beverage, hotel, fine dining AND/OR tourism
Solid food & beverage, hotel management, restaurant AND/ OR tourism background required
Magical culinary skills and presentation: able to make anyone drool and feel hungry. Make people on diet break their diet and come back again and again!
Your passion for customer service is contagious and you are a natural coach that loves to build effective teams and inspires individuals to do their best.
Manage day-to-day operations and assignments. Plan, organize and communicate goals, and schedule/assign work
Championing customer satisfaction
Excellent supply chain management and inventory management
Manage kitchen operation, control costs, optimize revenue & profits; Ownership and any other duties required for the day-to-day management consistent with the expectations for first class operation
Market analysis of competitors’ activities
Conduct functional/organizational reviews to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities and evaluate the kitchen staffs effectiveness. Identify competency gaps, develop and implement solutions
Enforce talent management. Develop a team of culinary professionals. Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve challenges, provide open communication and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate
Develop solid client relationships
Familiar to modern kitchen equipment and machines
Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures for excellent food and menu specifications, food handling, food safety requirements, food receiving and storage procedures
Perform other duties as assigned.

Tracked record in high-level operation role or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Type and level of experience required may vary slightly based on size and complexity of operation
More than 10 years of professional experience as a General Manager of big scale hotel or restaurant with an emphasis on upscale experience
Solid experience in Tourism, Hotel Administration OR Food &Beverage
Excellent leadership, communication, organization and relationship skills
Excellent tracked record in developing recipe and menu for authentic Malaysian and western food and beverage, culinary and fine dining
friendly, customer centric, love to smile and have FUN in a team environment
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to interact with all level of people
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in general computer knowledge
BONUS points!! If you have any of the following:
Experience in pre-opening or launching of a food & beverage or hotel
Experience in any of the following: food safety certification, HALAL, ISO, GMP, HACCP, GREEN and/ or franchise program
Experience in tourism is a plus
Familiar to entrepreneur program and/ or franchise business is an advantage
Knowledge in account payables and receivables and P&L
Excellent project management skills
Proficient in use of technology to solve business problem
