Job Description
- Responsible for processing, testing and storage of samples according to SOPs to ensure standards are met
- Responsible for accurate data entry into the IT system
- Responsible for verification, completion and release of results
- Responsible to perform daily QC procedures and proficiency testing.
- Responsible to process diagnostic products and arrange/track shipment with correct packaging/transport conditions
- Responsible to attend urgent cases/PBSC cases out of working hours
- Responsible to aid out-station stem cell transfusion cases when required
- Preparation of monthly processing reports and QC analysis reports
- Responsible in maintaining lab facilities, contacting the vendor for calibration/planned preventive maintenance of equipment, assist in troubleshooting of equipment as advised by the engineer when there is a breakdown of equipment
- Assist in performing validation studies and revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/Forms
- Assist in planning and validation of new products and services
- Assist in all AABB, MOH, ISO audits and other audits where applicable
- Assist in contacting and obtaining quotations from vendors as well as follow up with vendors
- Assist in training of new lab staff in lab procedures as stated in the Lab Training Manual General lab administration work, inventory checking or ad hoc duties and not limited to the above
Requirement
• Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science/ Biotechnology or equivalent
• Preferable 1 year of working experience in related field & fresh graduate is encouraged to apply
• Good interpersonal skills, attention to detail, good on time management & strike for consistency
• Fluent in English, written & verbal & computer literacy
• Willing to work in shift, overtime & able to travel outstation according to business need.
