Job Description:
Functions :
- Administers, controls and develops the accounting function of the group to exercise complete control over income, expenditure, cash flow, fixed assets and movable assets of the group in strict accordance with the company policies
- Controls all revenues received and dispersed including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll, audit, purchasing, and inventory management functions
- Prepares management reports outlining group’s financial position in the areas of income, expense, and earnings, based on past, present, and future operations
- Prepares financial analyses of group operations including variance explanation and makes recommendations to ensure the achievement of business goals
- Manages the daily and recurring operations of the accounts department and the preparation of required financial statements
- Provides management with timely reviews of group’s financial status and progress in its various programs and activities
- Implements the credit policy and decisions of the company and oversees the maintaining of city ledger records
- Makes constant efforts to reduce the outstanding accounts by checking these accounts regularly and initiating action for their settlement
- Oversees the preparation, monitoring and review of monthly and annual operating budget of the resort/residence and provides analyses and recommendation to ensure that the budget is achieved
- Performs internal operational assessments to ensure the efficient use of resources, and determines areas of improvements
- Maintains the company asset register and directs determination of depreciation rates
- Arranges for the audit of company accounts and prepares reports for regulatory agencies
- Establishes appropriate interface with banks and financial institutions
Requirements :
- University graduate in accounting or finance and with professional qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position
- Able to analyze data, develop management reports, budgets, forecasts, ad hoc reports, etc
- Diplomatic and negotiation skills
- Ability to deal with difficult situations
- Numerical and budgeting skills
