Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- To maintain the cash till accurately according to the set procedures and to keep proper records of operations. To be responsible for all the cash and credit sales in the till during her time of cashiering.
- To ensure proper acceptance of credit cards and to be alert of forgeries and the steps to take.
- To be aware of possible shoplifters and to ensure all merchandise is being paid before taken out of the shop.
- To help maintain security of customer belongings when placed in her care at the cashier counter.
- To maintain a tidy cashier counter at all times and to provide efficient cash and wrap service.
- To maintain cleanliness and tidiness of stocks and counters.
- To provide excellent customer service and to actively promote stocks or promotional mechanics to customers.
- To carry out duties of a sales assistant when relieved of cashiering duty.
- To ensure all relevant cash bills or sale slips are validated by cash machine.
- To ensure receipts are properly stapled to purchases packaging.
- To perform any other job assignments/duties as may be required by management from time to time.
Requirements:
- Age – Between 18-55 years old
- Able to work on shift, weekend and public holiday
